John Paul II and Christ’s Resurrection Church
When Pope John Paul II went home to the Heavenly Father in 2005, a large multitude took part in the prayer vigil organised by the Archdiocese of Kaunas. Since then, solemnly commemorating the anniversary of the death of Pope John Paul II each year at Christ’s Resurrection Church has become a tradition. The sanctuary’s conference hall contains a permanent photo exhibition about Pope John Paul II’s visit to Lithuania. Visitors who request it in advance can also view a documentary film here entitled “John Paul II in Lithuania”.
